All our raw materials are acquired and produced in Europe where the standards for cosmetics are set at the highest standards.
We ensure that our products are 5-Free + which means that in addition to the 5 toxic chemicals found in traditional polishes, we are also lead, toxic and latex free. We are also amongst the first nail polish companies to use renewable oil energy in our products. As far as polishes go, we’ve done the most we can to protect and preserve the environment.
The glass bottle we use for our polish is necessary to preserve the integrity of the product. Glass is much safer for the environment because of the way it’s produced and recycled. The one-step system reduces the packaging from 3 bottles to 1 bottle because we don’t use a base coat or top coat.
Part of the reason we have not introduced sample bottles, is to reduce the number of bottles being produced.
As far as packaging goes, most of our paper packaging is made from recyclable paper. We haven’t packaged our creams in boxes for that very reason, even though from a marketing perspective this would have added value to the creams. Wherever we can we minimize plastics and all extra unnecessary packaging. Again this minimizes the impact on the environment. We take this into consideration with everything that we produce. Obviously in the world we live in there is always the need to interface with traditional production, but again we always look for the cleanest and most environmentally sound activities.
Our removers and cleansers are the least toxic to the environment for a variety reasons as well. It is necessary to use acetone to remove Gel polish and we have a system that uses a less concentration of acetone. Liquid acetone is very toxic to users as well as to the environment. The packaging used is the minimal required to keep the pads saturated.
The use of LED lamps reduces the exposure to UV rays. No base coat or top coat also reduces the exposure to harmful rays. Our products are not just earth friendly, but people friendly too!
